EMDAL COLORKNIT is a digital knitted brand by the Danish textile designer & artist Signe Emdal.

Since 2007 Emdal have created digital knitted materials and garments for many types of costumers and creative minds. Identity is the most important keyword, and the narrative comes down to customization and developing deeply personal knitted items and samples.

Emdal Colorknit is an expert in transforming digital visuals into knitted fabrics. In terms of both colors and graphics. Main focus is a field of  ” Nature versus Digital “ and a deep respect of the world’s textile-heritage. We practice a highly intuitive process and have faith in a sustainable and personalized future.

Textiles must only be made for a specific reason.

Emdal Colorknit is located in Copenhagen-Denmark. The studio is a “mini factory” with a heart of machine-powers. This is where everyday work is done with high quality Italian yarns. This is where we develop new colorfully knitted fabrics. This is where we keep an 84` German industrial knitting machining ALIVE.
